Accessibility statement
Our commitment
CERTCAR SRL is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all people, including people with disabilities, across the certcar.com platform. We continually improve the user experience and apply the relevant accessibility standards in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), transposed into Romanian legislation through Law no. 232/2022.
Compliance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility. Certcar adheres to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549.
- Perceivable: Optimized color contrast (≥4.5:1 for normal text, ≥5.31:1 on primary buttons) and alternative text descriptions (`alt`) for non-textual content.
- Operable: Full keyboard navigability, a skip link to the main content, and pause controls on animated content.
- Understandable: A clear heading structure (H1-H3) and explicit error messages indicating the invalid field.
- Robust: Compatibility with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) and modern assistive technologies.
Supported technologies
The accessibility of the Certcar platform relies on the following web technologies:
- Semantic HTML5 (`header`, `nav`, `main`, `footer` landmarks)
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 (assistive state attributes and roles)
- CSS3 & TailwindCSS (`prefers-reduced-motion` support and focus-visible states)
- Modern ECMAScript JavaScript
